Jim is an experienced trial attorney who serves as Managing Attorney at The Maddox Law Firm. In this role, he works alongside the Firm’s founder, Attorney Matthew M. Maddox, to develop and implement legal and administrative program plans, compliance, and reporting systems and works closely with the firm’s attorneys to ensure their success on behalf of our clients. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Attorney, Jim continues to represent people injured by the negligent or reckless conduct of others.
Since 1994, Jim has earned a reputation as a down-to-earth, trusted legal advisor to his clients. He has successfully obtained justice for well over 1,000 clients who were injured by the careless, negligent, and reckless behavior of others.

In addition to his decades of experience representing injured people, Jim has been dedicated to public service.
He served as Stratford, Connecticut’s first Mayor from 2005-2009 and is a proud United States Army veteran, having served with the 82nd Airborne Division and 2nd Infantry Division.
Jim currently volunteers with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises.
In his free time, Jim enjoys learning how to improve his chess and poker skills, watching the NFL, and spending time with his wife.
